Warranty: 20 Years
Duration: 8 Days
Project Overview
Anglia Profiles Ltd were commissioned to refurbish the roof area of the MRS Building at Cambridge Hospital. The existing waterproofing was a well-known PVC membrane system that had begun to show signs of age and deterioration. Rather than opting for a full strip and replacement, the client sought a high-performance liquid overlay solution that could deliver long-term protection with minimal disruption to the hospital operations.
The Solution
Following a full roof jet wash and preparation, Darren Murffit and his team applied the Liquiflex-Pro built-up system across the entire 580m² roof area. The cold-applied liquid system was chosen for its seamless finish, flexibility, and proven track record on overlay projects. In addition to the main roof area, two metal gutters were also refurbished using Liquiflex-Pro, ensuring complete waterproofing continuity and inclusion under the same 20-year warranty.
Results
The project was completed efficiently in just 8 days, with minimal disruption to hospital activities. The Head of Maintenance at Cambridge Hospital expressed high satisfaction with both the finished result and the performance of the Liquiflex-Pro system, noting the improved appearance and peace of mind provided by the robust warranty.
