The Project
A family contacted Rubberseal after experiencing problems with the existing felt waterproofing on their double garage roof.
Over time, the original felt membrane had deteriorated and failed in several areas, leaving the garage vulnerable to water ingress. They wanted a reliable, long-lasting waterproofing solution that would protect the garage while also giving the roof a much smarter, cleaner appearance.
The Solution
After reviewing the requirements of the project, Rubberseal recommended Elevate RubberCover EPDM as the new waterproofing system.
RubberCover provided an ideal solution for the double garage, offering a durable and flexible waterproofing membrane that could be installed in a large sheet, helping to minimise joints across the main roof area.
Rubberseal supplied the complete system required for the project, including the Elevate RubberCover EPDM membrane, appropriate adhesives and Rubberseal Trims to provide a neat and professional finish around the roof perimeter.
The Installation
The existing felt waterproofing had reached the end of its serviceable life and had failed in several areas. Rather than overlaying the existing roof, the old felt membrane was completely stripped and removed, allowing the roof area to be properly prepared for the new system.
Once prepared, the Elevate RubberCover EPDM membrane was installed and fully bonded using the appropriate adhesives supplied by Rubberseal.
The perimeter and roof edges were then completed using Rubberseal Trims, creating a neat, defined finish and completing the new waterproofing system.
The Result
The finished roof is a complete transformation.
The deteriorated felt has been replaced with a fully waterproof Elevate RubberCover EPDM system, giving the family a durable solution with a clean, smart and professional appearance.
The result is a double garage roof that not only looks considerably better but is now properly protected against the elements for years to come.
