Rubberseal is proud to have delivered the first UK roofing project featuring Rhenofol CV since its long-awaited return to the market. Rhenofol CV is back in the UK! And what better way to mark the relaunch than with a flagship overlay installation on a large commercial property on Commercial Road, Liverpool.
Working closely with our approved contractor Apex Roofing Solutions and Elevate Technical, Rubberseal provided specification guidance, materials, and on-site support to ensure a smooth and professional installation from the outset.
Project Overview
The existing roof consisted of an ageing asphalt waterproofing system, which, while past its prime, remained stable enough to be overlaid. Prior to any works commencing, a full roof survey was conducted, including core testing and wind uplift calculations. The results confirmed that the existing roof structure was suitable for an overlay, which helped minimise disruption and reduce overall project costs.
To isolate and protect the new membrane from the asphalt below, a 200g/m² geotextile separation fleece was installed across the entire roof surface. This layer acts as a crucial barrier, allowing for thermal movement while enhancing system longevity.

Rubberseal specified and supplied Rhenofol CV, a mechanically fixed PVC single ply membrane known for its strength, flexibility, and durability. With hot-air welded seams and secure mechanical fixings, Rhenofol CV forms a seamless and watertight system that’s built to last.
